Exploring Corry, Pennsylvania: A One-Day Guide
Saturday Jan 31st, 2026
Located along scenic Pennsylvania Route 6 in the southeastern tip of Erie County, Corry is a small town being reinvigorated thanks to community pride. It is quintessential small-town America, with welcoming shops and dining options, and a compact, walkable Main Street. If you've never ventured to this corner of Erie County, consider this your invitation to spend a day in Corry.
Morning: Breakfast at GiGi's
There's no better way to start a day in a small town than at a classic diner. At Gigi's Route 6 Diner, you'll get the full experience: an old school environment, hospitable waitstaff to keep your coffee warm, and great, no-frills food. The breakfast menu includes all the classics, including some of the largest pancakes you'll ever order.
Afternoon: Arts and Antiquing
Corry's main street, Center Street, is lined with a mix of well-preserved 19th century buildings, historical markers, and interpretive panels that earned the area a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. What once was a street of vacant storefronts is now alive with a colorful array of new retail businesses. Among them are three neighboring shops showcasing items from local artisans: The Painted Finch Gallery and Epiphany's Emporium. Both showcase an eclectic variety of artisan wares, from leather journals and handcrafted jewelry, to paintings and sculpture. Further down the road, you'll find some of the best antiquing in the county at Whistle Stop Antiques and The Village Thrift.
Dinner: The Library Bar and Grille
The historic building that is now home to The Library Bar and Grille was once the actual Corry Public Library for more than 80 years. While you enjoy your meal, you can learn a little bit about the town's history along the walls. The menu features a full slate of flatbreads, sandwiches, wings and burgers.
Insider's Tip
If your visit is during one of the first Fridays in May through December, it’s worth staying for “First Fridays”, a fun event series celebrating Corry businesses and independent vendors. A portion of Center Street is closed to traffic and comes alive with music, food, art, street performers, food trucks, and entertainment, with many shops staying open late, and offering special deals and promotions. First Fridays are free and begin at 5 p.m. End times vary.
